Corporate Quality Statement

Williams Quality means-the Right Continually Improving!

The following is Williams Advanced Materials' Corporate Quality statement. [Being a global company various locations may have additional Quality Statements that specify reflect their geographic location and or the products made at the location.]

The primary goal of Williams Advanced Materials is to Create and Retain Customers. The means to this end is Complete Customer Satisfaction, which is accomplished through a commitment to being:

Right, The First Time

Right, Profitably

Right, Every Time

Right, Safely

Right, On Time

Continually Improving

Through these tenets, Williams Advanced Materials demonstrates its belief that complete customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction, and continual improvement are the rewards of adequate contract review, preparation and planning, measurement, training, preventive and corrective action, and safety in all we do. As a part of the monthly management review, the tenets listed above are reviewed for adequacy and utility. Charts, tables, or other formats indicating progress against these tenets are posted throughout the plant. Working definitions for the five tenets follow:

Right, The First Time:

Products manufactured shall meet customer requirements the first time they are produced. There is no justification for manufacturing non-conforming material after accepting a customer's requirements.

Right, Every Time:

Products manufactured shall meet customer requirements each and every time they are delivered. There is no justification for delivering unacceptable material to a customer after proving that we have the capability to provide acceptable material.

Right, On Time:

Products delivered shall meet the agreed upon schedules. There is no justification for making late deliveries when delivery schedules are agreed upon in advance.

Right, Profitably:

Products delivered shall be produced without reliance on rework and sorting which compromises product reliability, competitive position, and our ability to reinvest in technology, training, and market development. There is no justification for continuous rework and sorting in an environment supportive of preventive action and continual improvement.

Right, Safely:

Products delivered shall be produced in an environment that does not compromise safety. There is no justification for endangering employees, the community, or the environment in the pursuit of product delivery.

Continually Improving:

WAM shall strive to better the quality management system metrics noted above or improve product yields through process study/refinement, technology changes, etc.
