PREFORMS
Packing Level
|
Requirements |
Inside |
Review the special packaging instructions on the order for specific packing requirements (i.e., quantity per unit package, waffle pack vs. vial vs. bag, nitrogen vs. vacuum, shrink wrapped, etc.). Label each waffle pack, vial or bag. |
Intermediate |
Unless otherwise directed by the customer:
Wrap vials in foam. Tape foam in place as needed.
Vacuum seal waffle packs in a plastic bag. Place the sealed bags inside a cardboard box filled with bubble wrap.
Layer sealed bags inside a plastic two-tone box. Place foam or paper in between each layer. Label plastic two-tone box.
|
QA Documents |
Certificates of Compliance, Origin, and Analysis shall be put into a "QA Documents" envelope and included with the shipment. |
Outside |
Unless otherwise directed by the customer, place wrapped inside packages inside a cardboard box (but not closer than approximately 1 inch from the walls), which has been partially filled with protective packing material (i.e., foam or plastic bubble wrap, etc.). Then fill the box the rest of the way with protective packing material until inside package movement within box is constrained when the box is closed. Securely seal box with commercial grade packing tape (water-based adhesive paper tape is preferred, adhesive backed plastic tape may be used in its stead as needed). Place Packing Slips inside box. |
Labeling |
Label the inside package per customer requirements (if none, indicate material identification, quantity or weight, Williams' lot number, and customer order number on a standard Williams' label as a minimum). Label intermediate box per customer requirements (if none, indicate material identification, quantity or weight, Williams' lot number, and customer order number on a standard Williams' label as a minimum). On outside packages, affix address labels (i.e. UPS or FedX, etc.) to each package (and when multiple boxes are delivered, indicate box numbers as "1 of 3", "2 of 3", etc.). |

Packing Level
|
Requirements |
